Overview

For this project, Agoric brought me in to create the UI for their Vault dashboard. Their main goals were to provide users a way to stake their crypto in vault for a potential return.

After receiving the project brief, the first step was to get a full understanding of the crypto world. With the space being new to most, getting a full understanding of the space and task at hand was crucial. This took some time to get familiar with the space and the users you were designing for. Once the familiarity was there, then started the designing.

Research

Since I was brought in after the research phase, I did not participate on the initial findings.

As I started designing, we came across a few hiccups in the user experience portion of the designs. This led to some further testing and research on how we could best address these pressing issues.

From there, our issues were resolved and we kept moving into the designing portion of this project.

Design

Throughout the design phase, keeping the user in mind constantly was key. With a tech space so new, there are a lot of variables when it comes to banking. Keeping the trust of each user is a crucial part when it comes to money.

Simple. Clean. Concise.

These three words were on the forefront of my mind when going through each design. Having a clear idea of the type of design you need to create helped guide me through the duration of this project.

The Results

After all the designing was done, we ran through each experience and user flow to triple check we were accounting for all scenarios.

The end designs turned out well and Agoric was really happy with the experiences we created.

This vault provided access to managing, creating, and viewing each individual vault to the user. Simple, but effective is how I would describe this project.

What I learned…

Well, this project was the type of project where you learn A LOT.

Being unfamiliar with the field I was designing for set up a few different challenges for me. I learned to take each page, design, experience one at a time and take it in bite size pieces.

This allowed me to put full focus at the task at hand and give it my 100%. Keeping a clear mind helped me think clearly and utilize my design skills to best create the simple, clean, and concise designs.
